Dashboard Overview
What the Dashboard Shows
The dashboard is your home screen in the tenant portal. It provides a snapshot of everything important at a glance: your current balance, lease status, recent activity, and any items that need your attention. Think of it as your personal summary page.
Layout and Card Sections
The dashboard is organized into collapsible cards. Each card covers a different area — financial summary, property details, lease information, messages, maintenance, and more. You can expand or collapse individual cards to focus on what matters to you.
Real-Time Data
The information on your dashboard is current as of your last page load. Charges, payments, messages, and status updates appear as soon as they are posted by your landlord or the system. Refresh the page to see the latest data.
Balance and Payment Card
Current Balance Display
At the top of the dashboard, the financial summary card shows your current balance prominently:
- Green (zero or negative) — you are current or have a credit on your account
- Yellow (small positive) — you have a balance due
- Red (large positive or overdue) — you have a significant or overdue balance
Payment Due Date
Below the balance, the card shows when your next rent payment is due. This is based on the due date in your lease (typically the 1st or 15th of the month).
Balance Breakdown
The balance represents the net of all charges minus all payments and credits on your account. If you want to see exactly what makes up the balance — individual rent charges, fees, payments — go to the Statement page for the full breakdown.
Lease Summary Card
Active Lease Details
The lease card shows a summary of your current lease:
- Property and unit — where you live
- Monthly rent — the amount due each month
- Lease status — Active, Expired, or Month-to-Month
Lease Dates
The card shows your lease start date and end date. If your lease is approaching its end date, this is shown prominently so you can plan ahead (discuss renewal with your landlord, prepare to move, etc.).
Rent Amount
Your monthly rent amount is displayed clearly. This matches the amount that will be charged to your account each month on the due date. If your rent amount changes (due to a renewal or amendment), the updated amount is shown here.
Unit Information
The card identifies your property address and unit number or name. This is useful if your landlord manages multiple properties — it confirms exactly which unit your lease covers.
Recent Activity
Recent Transactions
The activity section shows your most recent financial transactions — charges posted, payments received, and credits applied. Each entry shows the date, description, and amount. For the full history, click through to the Statement page.
Recent Messages
If you have recent messages from your landlord, a preview appears in the activity section. Click on a message preview to go to the full conversation in the Messages section.
Maintenance Request Updates
If you have active maintenance requests, the dashboard shows their current status. You can see at a glance whether a request is open, in progress, or completed without navigating to the full Maintenance section.
Action Items
Pending Items Requiring Attention
The dashboard highlights items that need your action:
- An outstanding balance that needs payment
- Unread messages from your landlord
- Maintenance requests with updates you have not viewed
- Lease approaching expiration
Overdue Payments
If your balance is past due (the due date has passed and the full amount has not been paid), the dashboard emphasizes this with a warning indicator. The amount overdue and the number of days past due are shown to help you prioritize payment.
Unread Messages
Unread messages show a count badge in the navigation and on the dashboard. Click on the messages section to read and respond. Unread messages are highlighted so they stand out from messages you have already seen.
