Calendar Overview
What the Calendar Shows
The calendar gives you a visual timeline of important dates related to your tenancy. Instead of remembering due dates and deadlines, you can see them laid out on a monthly grid.
Monthly View
The calendar displays one month at a time. Days with events are marked with colored indicators. Click on any day to see the details of the events on that date. Use the navigation arrows to move between months.
Event Types and Colors
Different types of events are displayed with distinct visual indicators:
- Rent due dates — recurring monthly markers on your payment due day
- Lease milestones — start date, end date, renewal windows
- Payments — dates when payments were processed
- Maintenance — scheduled repair dates
- Custom events — any other dates added by your landlord
Rent Due Dates
How Due Dates Appear
Your rent due date appears as a recurring marker on the calendar each month. For example, if your rent is due on the 1st, every 1st of the month is marked. This gives you a clear, visual reminder of when rent is expected.
Monthly Recurrence
Rent due dates repeat automatically for the duration of your active lease. You do not need to add them manually — they are generated from your lease terms. If your due date changes (due to a lease amendment), the calendar updates accordingly.
Past Due Indicators
If a rent due date has passed and the payment has not been received, the calendar may show a visual indicator (such as a warning color) for that date. This helps you quickly identify any months where rent was late or remains unpaid.
Lease Milestones
Lease Start and End Markers
Your lease start date and end date are marked on the calendar as milestone events. These stand out from regular recurring events so you can easily see the boundaries of your lease term.
Renewal Windows
If your landlord has set up renewal notifications, the calendar shows the window during which you should discuss renewal. This is typically 30–90 days before your lease end date. Seeing this on the calendar helps you plan ahead rather than being caught off guard by an approaching expiration.
Move-Out Reminders
If you are planning to move out, the calendar can show reminder dates based on the notice period in your lease. For example, if 30 days’ notice is required and your lease ends April 30, a reminder appears around April 1 to submit your notice.
