Settings

Open Settings from the account menu in the top-right. It has three tabs:

  • Team Members — invite people to help manage your account and assign their roles (availability and seat count depend on your plan; see the comparison below)
  • API Tokens — create and revoke tokens that connect AI agents and scripts to your account over MCP
  • API Usage — see how your API tokens are being used (call counts and recent activity)

Your subscription and payment method are managed on a separate Billing page (see Plan & Billing below).

Account & Sign-in

You sign in with the email and password — or the Google account — you used when you created your account, and your name and email come from that sign-in identity.

To change your password, use the reset option on the login page. For sign-in, session handling, and security details, see Account & Security.

Plan & Billing

Manage your subscription on the Billing page (Billing & Subscription). It shows your current plan and status, plus a Manage Subscription button that opens a secure payment portal where you can:

  • Update your card
  • Switch plans (upgrade or downgrade)
  • Download invoices
  • Cancel

Plan changes are prorated — when you upgrade, you only pay the difference for the remainder of the current billing period.

Team Members

On plans that include more than one seat, invite teammates from Settings → Team Members. Send an invitation by email and assign each member a role. The number of seats available depends on your plan (see the comparison above).

API Tokens

What API Tokens Are For

API tokens let you connect external tools — like AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT) or custom scripts — to your Marula Landlord OS account. Each token is a long, random string that authenticates requests on your behalf.

API tokens are used by the MCP server (Model Context Protocol) to give AI agents access to your property data. See MCP & AI Tools for the full guide.

Creating a Token

  1. Go to Settings → API Tokens
  2. Click Create Token
  3. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., “Claude Desktop”)
  4. Click Create
  5. Copy the token immediately — it is shown only once and cannot be retrieved later

Managing Tokens

From the API Tokens page you can:

  • View all tokens, their names, creation dates, and last-used timestamps
  • Revoke a token to disable it instantly
  • Create additional tokens for different tools or devices

The API Usage tab shows how your tokens are being used — total calls, recent activity, and which tools are being called.

Security

  • Each token is scoped to your account — it cannot access other landlords’ data
  • Revoke any token you suspect has been compromised
  • Tokens are available on all plans
Note: MCP is available on all plans. Free includes read-only access. Starter and above include read + write access. See MCP & AI Tools for details.
